Tutor LMS video hosting — built for course creators
Host your Tutor LMS course videos on your own Cloudflare R2 storage. Adaptive HLS streaming, no per-view fees, no bandwidth caps.
Install Free Free tier included · No credit card requiredTutor LMS gives you the course structure. Where does the video cost come from?
Vimeo: great until your course scales
Once students start rewatching lessons on mobile, your Vimeo bandwidth bill climbs faster than your course revenue.
YouTube: free but leaks students
"Unlisted" videos still show a subscribe button, related content, and send watch history to Google. Not private, not professional.
Self-hosting: slow and expensive
Raw MP4 uploads mean browsers download the whole file before playback. No adaptive bitrate. No analytics.
How VideoFlowEngine works with Tutor LMS
Install both plugins
Tutor LMS for courses. VideoFlowEngine for the video layer. They coexist cleanly in WordPress.
Upload your videos once
Drag & drop in the VideoFlowEngine dashboard. Adaptive HLS encoding (360p / 720p / 1080p) is automatic.
Embed in Tutor LMS lessons
Use the VideoFlowEngine block in the Tutor LMS lesson editor, or paste [vfhls_player id="123"] into the lesson content. Works with Tutor's frontend course builder too.

Compatibility with Tutor LMS
Tutor LMS compatibility testing is scheduled for this week. VideoFlowEngine embeds via the standard WordPress block/shortcode API, which Tutor LMS lesson content areas accept. We will publish a "Tested ✅" badge and a live demo lesson link after the end-to-end test pass — completion flow, quiz flow, frontend course builder.
Migrating from Vimeo to VideoFlowEngine in Tutor LMS
- Download your source videos from Vimeo (Distribution → Video File Download).

Tutor LMS + VideoFlowEngine — FAQ
Does VideoFlowEngine work with Tutor LMS's frontend course builder?
Yes — the VideoFlowEngine block and shortcode render inside any lesson editor that accepts standard WordPress blocks or shortcodes, including Tutor's frontend course builder.
Will lesson completion tracking still work?
Yes. Tutor LMS lesson completion is triggered by the "Complete Lesson" button, which operates independently of the video player. Adding a VideoFlowEngine video inside a lesson does not affect Tutor's progression logic.
Can I use video as a "lesson feature video" in Tutor LMS?
Tutor LMS's Featured Video field currently expects a direct video URL or embed code from supported providers. VideoFlowEngine videos are embedded via shortcode or block inside the lesson content area — which is where most course creators put them anyway, alongside the lesson's written material.
Does it work with Tutor's quiz and assignment flows?
Yes. VideoFlowEngine only handles the video display. Quizzes, assignments, and progress tracking in Tutor LMS work exactly as they did before.
How does it compare to Tutor LMS's own video hosting integration?
Tutor LMS supports embedded YouTube, Vimeo, HTML5, and a few other sources out of the box. VideoFlowEngine adds adaptive HLS streaming on your own storage — no per-view fees, no third-party player branding, and built-in analytics inside WordPress.
